"Well, there are some very specific ones that won't allow any being that doesn't match their parameters to pass," Balthazar says, expression falling into less cheeky lines than normal as he thinks over the question. "It depends what you're summoning, really. One could build in some time limits, though, so the circle would snap shut after a given amount of minutes or hours. That sort of thing can be circumvented; there are loopholes in everything, but I'm sure I could make it work on a basic level at least."
Balthazar is neither pedantic nor much of an intellectual, but he does enjoy a bit of magic now and then. The prospect of a project is not unpleasant.
"Oh, vampires can be unpleasant enough where I'm from, but they're no danger to an angel. None of the monster-types are, and neither are most of the demons. Witchcraft done very cleverly can harm us, but short of a white-eyed demon or a Knight of Hell, we're quite durable."
The prim commentary coupled with the blush just makes Balthazar laugh. "No, no, I quite like it. I'd best keep you well away from Castiel; he does that sort of thing, too. Ninety percent of the time he's all seriousness and purity, and then he'll drop a sass bomb when you least expect it."
