He slides to a sitting position on the floor, scooting back so he's partly hidden behind the counter, then beckons Gadreel after him. "I'm trying to look after you, but I suppose you're right. We'll be warm enough if we stay close, and definitely safer together. I've never felt my wings ache like this."
He flexes his fingers carefully, and rolls an ankle. It pops softly, but that's just the tendons in his vessel settling. Nothing's broken. Nothing's bleeding.
