But their time together shouldn't be a recounting of fears and melancholy. He glances up into Lucifer's face and gives a small, weak smile that quickly becomes a wider, brighter one. "Darling, you can ruffle my feathers any time. I suppose that's the power of the Nexus, though. Neutral ground, anything can happen."
He responds to that kiss to the temple by sighing contentedly, then tilting his head again to kiss softly along Lucifer's jawline. "I have a few human friends, as well."
And he's glad that won't be a problem.
